As Symec Technologies continue to see fast yet solid growth it has become necessary to expand the operation and set up a facility in Poland. We sat down with some of the leadership team to get their take on this key moment in the development of the business.
Symec have developed to become a leading player in the UK for installation, maintenance and support of rugged and consumer grade mobile data capture devices and supporting accessories. More recently the business has seen increasing demands for further components that can support a truly connected worker such as mobile phones, tablets, voice & data contracts and fixed line telephony.
Alex Whiting (Sales Director) remarks “A unique mix of products and services have allowed Symec to carve a distinct place in the market. We deliver value to our clients at very competitive prices. However, we can only do this when we have enough space, and our growth was making great demands on our UK facility.” “Symec are growing at a rapid rate as more and more customers see the many benefits of working with Symec. The company needed a facility that allowed us to scale up quickly and Symec Poland gives us that.” comments Phil Bruce (Co-Owner Director). “To provide repair and managed services across such a wide range of mobile brands, we need more than 60 highly skilled technical people and the Poznan area of Poland offers a wealth of this talent. The location is also ideally placed to help us serve our international clients across EMEA far more efficiently than in the UK.”
Tomasz Przybyla manages the new Poland location for Symec. He explains “Poznań is one of the largest of Poland’s cities with a population over 550,000. Poznań is home to several important universities, including The University of Technology and many Electronic Technical Schools so talented people can be found in the area and trained to the highest standards.”
Phil added “While the new centre allows the business to manage increased demands, the UK facility will continue to provide local valuable services to our UK clients such as helpdesk and next business day swaps. This significant investment in the business marks a key point in our growth.”
